As a South African living in the Netherlands, I know how tough it is to move to a whole new country and create a new identity for yourself. Finding the balance between the life you came from and everything that made you, and the new life you're trying to create, isn't easy.

I was looking for items that I could wear that celebrated both my South African heritage, as well as my new Dutch culture I'm trying to embrace, but I couldn't find any. So I decided to create them myself. Welcome to the South African Roots collection!

10% of profit from items in the South African Roots collection goes towards mental health causes. Mental health is something I've been working on for myself the past few years, and people underestimate the impact uprooting your whole life has on your mental wellbeing. Therefore, this collection aims to bring awareness to mental health causes and that we need to support each other during difficult life transitions.
